Minyak

how about compare Malaysia with the other oil producing countries just as we are UAE– RM1.19/litre Eygpt– RM1.03/litre Bahrain– RM0.87/litre Qatar– RM0.68/litre Kuwait– RM0.67/litre Saudi Arabia– RM0.38/litre Iran– RM0.35/litre Nigeria– RM0.32/litre Turkmenistan– RM0.25/litre Venezuela– RM0.16/litre MALAYSIA– RM2.70/litre Fikir-fikirkan..

Baiklah mari kita fikirkan. First impression saya statistik diatas tidak menceritakan something that I call "the whole truth". Tapi let me start with my stand dengan kenaikan harga minyak di Malaysia.

1. Subisidi kerajaan yang kita enjoy selama ini adalah privileges.
2. but kenaikan tersebut terlalu mendadak.
3. Yes, ia agak membebankan jika tanpa insentif lain.

Benar. no question about that. Tapi tak salah jika saya mahukan "the whole truth" supaya saya boleh buat "informed decision".

Why Airport?

This post should shed some light to all my friends and family to the question "Why I choose Airport as my blog theme?"

Airport as decribed by wikipedia is a facility where aircraft such as airplanes and helicopters can take off and land. An airport minimally consists of one runway or helipad (for helicopters), but other common components are hangars and terminal buildings.

Additionally, an airport may have a variety of facilities and infrastructure, including fixed base operator services, air traffic control, passenger facilities such as restaurants and lounges, and emergency services.

For me it's not just another transportation infrastructure but an airport actually symbolizes love. I believe if you ever take time to spend just a litlle while at any airport arrivals hall, I have a sneaky feeling you would see love actually is all around.

That why when I stressed out by my studies I always go to Frankfurt Aiport. Yeah apart from it is the closes thing to home, I get to see love at its purest condition. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy but it's always there. Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. No hate. No anger. No prejudice. Just love.

As arrogant as I may have been, I still believe in Love. Maybe my love definition is not the same as you but.. the facts is I still believe in loves. Love motivates me. It plays important role in my life.Since airport symbolizes love, thus airport is also important to me. So it doesn't take a German Engineer to understand my choice of airport where I land, take off or taxi.

General opinion dictates, it would be better for me to fly via SIN instead of via KUL when I go back to my hometown in Johor Bahru from Karlsruhe. But I solemnly know for sure the day I fly via SIN for my summer holiday is the day I stop believing in loves. Why?

Well simply I know, without doubt, I'll be alone at departure gate in SIN whereas via KUL still get to see the love of my family, my mum, my dad, my brother; Hafiz, my sis in laws; Azalina, my sisters; Elmy, Eina, Ezrin and my nephew, Syahmi at JHB and in KUL my lovely girl, Azizah.

So next time any of you see me seating around in an airport, Let it be known I am just there to experience.............. Love.

SIN = Singapore International Airport, Changi
KUL = Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang
JHB = Sultan Ismail International Airport, Johor Bahru

Choice or Destiny

“Do you believe in fate?” ask Morpheus as he and Neo sit in a room in the Matrix
“ No” reply Neo firm.
“Why not?” asked Morpheus again
“Coz I don’t like the idea of I’m not in control of my life” explain Neo.

Fast forward…

“Why did you do those things you do? Is it for power? Is it for Love?” asked Agent Smith during his final battle with Neo.
“Because I choose to!” answered Neo.

Destiny as defined by www.dictionary.com is the inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or thing is destined; one's lot or; A predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control. Whereas choice, the act of choosing; selection or; the power, right, or liberty to choose; option or; an alternative.

This question actually dawn upon me when one of my friend bring the subject about a girl/guy which are meant for us or in another word “Does the destined bride/groom actually exist? Or it just us who choose to spend the rest of our life with her/ him. (From now on I’ll only refer to her or destined bride since I’m a man)

Then I find two verses from Holy Quran, Chapter 13 Verse 11 and Chapter 8 Verse 53, the translation,
(
13:11) For him are angels ranged before him and behind him who guard him by Allah's command. Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him.

(8:53) "Because Allah will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls: and verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things)."

Suddenly it hit me like a thunder; Fate can be change by choice whether it is from good to bad or from bad to good or from good to better or from bad to worse. To change your fate, first you must change what is in your heart. It is us who choose which direction or path to follow. Islam not encourage its follower to remain idle in a condition and just leave the rest to fate but always pursue what you think you could do to improve your self, Islamic society and your own community, only then you could turn good into better.

Destined Bride
“Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said as Narrated Abu Huraira; The Prophet said, "A woman is married for four things, her wealth her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers.” From what I understand from this hadith, man ought to choose his bride. The best quality of all women is the religious women.

Then if I actually choose my bride, how come anyone say it is my destiny to be with her. Yeah people would argue, why am I choosing her instead of any other girl? It is my destiny that I choose her and it is my destiny too that she’s agreeing to marry me. Yet again if I think a little bit deeper, before I choose her to be my bride or in another word, before the decision is made, there is a lot of factors involved including seeking Allah guidance by doing a lot of Istikharah and opinion of the elders. Same goes on her side before she chooses me as her groom. The decision, for me, is not for fate to make. It is fully my decision, and because Allah All-Knowing, He already know about the final decision before I make the decision.

Quote often heard in a Malaysian Malay Community, “Alaa…Bercinta bagai nak rak, kalau tak de jodoh tak kahwin jugak” or “Kalau dah jodoh tak ke mana!” These two quotes refer how Malay prefers to let destiny to take its course. The first one tells about without fate on their side, do what they will, in the end it won’t happen, and the second one about if fate not in their nothing can come in between. I sincerely not believe this, and I would like to challenge anybody to prove this theory! Attached strictly to this fate with no choice involve!

Life after Marriage

As Malay peoples are always concern about how long will the marriage last? Since Malay people considered marriage is a sacred bond between two people and their family. But if a divorce occurs regardless sooner or later in a marriage Malay people tend to believe that the marriage are meant to be separated as if it’s the couples destiny to experience diversion thus come the saying “Apa nak buat jodoh mereka tak panjang” and yet again the Destiny takes the blames

On the other hand it is the couple decision to end their marriage. In another word it is the couple themselves choose to end their marriage. If not, I believe comes what may, the marriage bond shall not be untied till the end of their life. In order to choose to divorce, a careful consideration always comes before hand. Once consensus has been reached beyond any reasonable doubt, then will the couple end their marriage for good while they can actually choose to search a common point to make their marriage last.

Consequences of choice or Destiny
As Newton teaches us in his Third Principle “Every Action has its reaction.” In term of choices I view it as “Every choice has its consequences”. Then I ask myself whether consequences of choice can be called fate or destiny? According to dictionary, no! They can’t because consequence is defined as something that logically or naturally follows from an action or condition, or; the relation of a result to its cause, or; a logical conclusion or inference. For an example, in the divorce case above, the choices are: to divorce or not to divorce. The consequences what is logically going to happen: their marriage last they could live happily ever after as they will understand their partner better in future, or their marriage doomed, their children suffer emotion breakdown and they will never understand their partner. Since I believe nothing in this world is illogic and as everything that happened has its reason, then to me whatever comes next is just a mere of consequences of choice.

Destiny!!
Since destiny is something that I can’t control, in my humble opinion it falls into two categories; first before and after life and second, other people’s choice. One is ultimate destiny and the other can be control indirectly. For example, it is my destiny to be born to Mat Jizat’s family in
Malaysia as well as it’s my destiny to die on certain time at a certain place in future. Meanwhile as I can’t control other people choice, but I can always persuade people to make the choice of my desire. This weakness in mankind is what the devil uses to get his followers since mankind ever step on to the earth surface. Allah being the Most Merciful and All Knowing know this weakness in Mankind and always open for repent as long as the sun still rising from east….

Period: the beauty of God's Creation

This is a continuation of Period: More than just time

after a little bit of research and survey I made, I am convinced that man my age still feel eeky about it, know practically nothing about it, and women my age happened to have open mind when describing it.

Period as a Sign from God
First of all, the way I see it period or menstruation is a sign from God for women. It actually mark the important stages in a woman life; children, adult and old age. This is the luxury for a woman since God himself remind her of her stage of life which no man have enjoyed.

As a girl don't have to worry about almost anything and she can actually focus to develop her character with her parent guides. Then as she grows up, she will having menstruation cycle. This marking her adulthood where she supposes to become more responsible for her own acts. As she reach menopause stage, It a constant reminder that she will leave the world soon. So she can prepare herself with a lot of good deeds. If she's already start doing good deeds from young it would be easy for her to continue, if not it is never too late to start even after menopause.

Whereas a man has to realize by himself that he is actually children, adult or old age. Thus coming the saying 'husband is like a baby' and in Malay Proverb Tua Miang Keladi, Makin tua makin menjadi. The Proverb trying to paint a picture of an old man but acting like he is only 20 or 30 years old still fooling around and flirting with girls of his granddaughter age cause he never realize that his days a numbered.

Period as a Sign of Health
Women also can know about her own health just by watching her menstruation cycle. It is a fact if a woman menses is in her normal cycle; she is actually healthy in the inside, even if she has a bad fever or flu. A woman with normal menses, because of frequent hormonal change, will experience a lot of emotion change. She then unconsciously develops the lots of other emotion to keep the world at balance. As I see it with frequent pain during menses women understand that she is stronger, and more determination to over come the pain and with attention she get during menstruation, deeply she know she is loved and tend to love those whose giving her attention. Thus I believe women have greater EQ compared to man due to frequent practice.

On the other hand, a man can be unhealthy in the inside even if he never catches a cold or fever. He could be suffering from impotency or any other silence diseases including cancer. Seldom man experience change in hormone and/or emotion. So I believe man tend to become such an arrogant, ego, stone-hearted person. With the love from woman is the only stronger obstacle for a man to become such person.

This is proven in Moses and Pharaoh story, where due to love for his wife Pharaoh spared Moses life when Pharaoh himself order for baby of Israelites to be murdered.

Period as a sign for Rest
it is always for me to question why God allow woman not perform solah while she was having her menses but woman and man are equal in his/her deeds. A husband can't have sexual intercourse with his wife in any way during her menses. From my religious classes back then, I only learn that woman is unclean during her menses. Maybe my teacher just wants to make it easy for me to understand since I was just 7. But after a discussion with my female friend I soon discover the truth. Menstruation is meant for woman to rest.

After-Birth-Menstruation: I t is a known fact that giving birth is one of the severe pain suffered by a woman in her life. Thus as God's Mercy woman a meant to rest after giving birth to recover all her energy back. When she is fully recovered she can do her chores in family with interruption. The question is always how long should women rest? Well God himself give the sign which is the menses after giving birth. As God All-Knowing, he knows how strong every woman is, and how long she need to rest thus the menses often vary from woman to woman and even vary from child to child. This is another beauty of His Creation yet again.

Normal Menstruation: my female all agreed in one thing about their menses. It hurts! Then I asked "how it actually hurts?" Several of them describe it can be compared to a small portion of giving birth pain and it consumes a lot more energy to do something while having a period.

Man on the other hand would always have their energy at full strength at all time in his life. Thus he does not need a break time or rest time. So he can always perform solah when is required. And I believe sexual intercourse required a lot of energy from both party, so it is only suitable for man in order to respect the lost energy of his wife, not to having sexual intercourse during his wife menstruation.

That concludes my article on the subject. Alhamdulillah after my survey and discussion with friends I see how God treasure a woman and I see the Mercy of God on women and of course yet another beauty of His Creation. May God Bless You and me

Period more than just time

It is not strange when discussing about period some man feel eeeky and some woman thought it should be kept private. One of my friend even said tome that it’s not my time to know. But the fact is I am already 22 years old if 22 is not the time, and so when I was 8, 15, or 18. So when is the right time? Then I decide now is the time at the age of 22.

So what period am I talking about? Jurassic Period, Technology Period, and The Frequency Period or as simple as the period like this two.. ? Of course not! I'm talking about the women period a.k.a menstruation.

As a man first question that pop up in my mind.. What is it looks like? What do women feel when they are having it? How is it that menstruation effect emotion?

It is sexist and damaging to women to claim that menstruation is in any way
'Unclean' it is in fact a healthy process that enhances the health of the womb and an essential part of being a women and a positive part of a women's identity. Women are no more unclean than Men.

So the menses is in anyway is clean. So if the menses are clean why hiding it from man? Or it is just men's ego (ignorance) contribute to this false assumption about woman. For Example Man always jump to conclusion that woman are having their period or PMS when she suddenly easily touched, or easily upset. Another example is one TV shows in Malaysia try to find out how much man know about Menses and its hygiene. The Show asks three men each to find a specific product for women's Pad. The result is none of them got the right one.

So if I at the age of 22 still being denied about the information about Menses, which I don't think at 25 or even at 30 going to do much change. How on earth am I going to prepare myself to encounter woman as my wife or as my daughter when I know practically next to nothing about menstruation apart from it should happened once a month and if not, the woman is pregnant?

To be Continue...in The Period: The Beauty of God's Creation.
